About
So...how did all this happen?
Up until 2026, I would have told you I couldn’t draw and didn’t draw.
I've always been creative. I'm a designer and marketing person by trade, so I've spent years creating digital things, developing ideas and making things look good.
But drawing? NEVER.
Then life handed me a lot of waiting and a little stress.
My husband received a kidney transplant and my sister was going through cancer treatments at Mayo, and during that time I found myself spending a lot of hours sitting in clinics and hospitals.
I had started coloring as a creative outlet, but somewhere among the hospital rooms, waiting rooms and long stretches of time, I picked up a pen and started doodling.
Nothing fancy.
A few lines. Some shapes. A pattern here and there.
And apparently...I LOVE TO DOODLE.
What started as something to pass the time became something I genuinely loved.
I started experimenting.
Drawing patterns. Filling pages. Trying flowers. Decorating cards. Turning ordinary pieces of paper into things I wanted to keep.
And then I started wondering...
What else could I doodle on?
Which, as it turns out, is a dangerous question.
Because now I spend far too much time with a pen in hand, instead of a mouse.
And here we are.
Welcome to ZenDoodleDee.
This isn't a place about being the best artist in the room.
It's about making something. Freeing your mind and finding some relaxation.
